Year 3

Friday 18th July

Summer is here!

Well done to everyone for all the hard work you have been doing both at home and in school over recent months.  We are incredibly proud of you.yes

As we said on Seesaw, we won't be setting any specific home learning tasks over the summer holidays but as some of you have expressed an interest in wanting ideas for over the break  here are are a few ideas you might like to try:

  • Write a diary entry/ recount for a day in your holidays.
  • Write a book review of a book you read during the break.
  • Write a story of your choice and bring it to school in September to share with your class.
  • Research facts about a famous person who interests or inspires you and write about them.
  • Continue to practise your handwriting.
  • Continue to learn to spell the words from the year 3/4 statutory spelling list.
  • Continue to practise your times tables.
  • Remember you will still have access to TT Rockstars , Sumdog and Linguascope over the summer.

In addition, the following educational providers had some excellent resources and activities for home learning and many of these are still be available :

The Oak National Academy -

BBC Bitesize –

Classroom Secrets –

Hamilton Trust –

Most importantly of all, have a happy, healthy summer and we will see you all when you are in year 4. smiley
