Year 6

If you are currently self-isolating, you will have been sent a home learning pack by email from school with daily mini-projects linked to our current curriculum and some reading work.

Please find on this page access to Maths resources that run alongside the lessons we are currently doing in school. There are links to White Rose videos, plus a choice of either the White Rose worksheets attached to those videos, or the actual sheets we are using in class if you fancy the exact same challenge as children in school. Feel free to do both if you want the extra practice!

This week, we are spending one final session revising long multiplication and long division (Monday). We are then moving on to Factors (Tuesday), Common Factors (Wednesday), Common Multiples (Thursday) and Prime Numbers (Friday). Below are the White Rose Maths video links - you will need to find the video that corresponds to that day's learning.

Children also have access to Sumdog, TT Rockstars and Linguascope.

However, if you wish your children to complete any additional work, there are lots of educational providers offering further online lessons and resources. The Oak National Academy is providing daily content for every year group.

BBC Bitesize – https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize - From April 20th, they are offering daily uploads of core subject lessons and information. Some of their Maths tasks are from White Rose Maths, which we are using in our Oakdene packs already.

Classroom Secrets – https://classroomsecrets.co.uk/free-home-learning-packs/ - Each week they are providing free home learning packs and timetables. Some of the reading tasks used in our Oakdene home learning packs are from this provider, and some of their material will be used in the BBC Bitesize package.

Hamilton Trust – https://www.hamilton-trust.org.uk/blog/learning-home-packs/ - Reputable educational provider again providing free home learning packs on the core subjects of English and Maths.
