Year 6

Home Learning for each class for the sixth week of the Summer term (week beginning Monday June 1st) is now live on our website. This is the first week of the second half of term. Please scroll down the page to find these activities. We have now put a video at the top of the page which introduces our PSHE work this half-term linked to transition to high school.

There are 2 weekly pdf files – one is a suggested timetable for the week’s activities, and the second contains the tasks themselves and any further information required to complete them. Daily Maths activity sheets are also provided.

Children also have access to Sumdog, TT Rockstars and Linguascope.

However, if you wish your children to complete any additional work, there are lots of educational providers offering further online lessons and resources. The Oak National Academy is providing daily content for every year group.

BBC Bitesize – https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize - From April 20th, they are offering daily uploads of core subject lessons and information. Some of their Maths tasks are from White Rose Maths, which we are using in our Oakdene packs already.

Classroom Secrets – https://classroomsecrets.co.uk/free-home-learning-packs/ - Each week they are providing free home learning packs and timetables. Some of the reading tasks used in our Oakdene home learning packs are from this provider, and some of their material will be used in the BBC Bitesize package.

Hamilton Trust – https://www.hamilton-trust.org.uk/blog/learning-home-packs/ - Reputable educational provider again providing free home learning packs on the core subjects of English and Maths.
