Lunch

Children in EYFS and Key Stage One have their lunch at 11:55am, and Key Stage Two begin their lunch break at 12:00pm. Lunch times all end at 12:55pm..

Drop-off and collection

At the beginning and the end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school – we want to have good links with all parents and carers. If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.

Getting to school

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits; it's healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations.

It is a parent's responsibility to ensure their children arrive at school on time. Lateness can disrupt the learning of others and can result in a pupil feeling greater stress and achieving poorer outcomes.

Every school, by law, has to register pupils twice a day; first thing in the morning at the start of the school day, and again in the afternoon session. If a pupil fails to attend or arrives late, they will be marked as an absence for that session.

Research shows a close link between attendance at school and a child's achievement. Being late adds up to a loss of learning.

All time out of school affects learning and achievement for pupils. Please make sure your child arrives at school on time. Any child who arrives after registration should go to the School Office with parent/guardian where they will be signed into school.
