Welcome to our Year Five class page. We are delighted to embark on this exciting journey together at the start of Upper Key Stage Two! Across the year we will develop resilience and independence skills to ensure that all children enter Year Six with a positive mindset, ready for the challenges that lie ahead. Throughout the year, children will build upon their academic journey so far whilst we further embed a love of learning. Our nurturing environment ensures that each child feels safe, valued and encouraged to thrive. We look forward to working in partnership with you to make this a joyful and enriching experience for your child.
The class door is opened at 8.45 am and the register is then taken at 9am.
The end of the school day is at 3:15pm
If you require any further information, we are available on the class door or you can book a longer meeting if needed via the school office. Communication can also be made via Class Dojo.
Children will bring home a reading book each evening with the expectation to read every night at home. The accompanying reading record should document their reading journey. It is expected that children in Year Five read for 20+ minutes each evening to build stamina.
Our PE sessions are on a Wednesday and a Friday and we ask that children come to school in their PE kits.
