SEND

At Oakdene we 'Grow and Learn Together!'

We believe that all children in our school, including our children with additional needs, should receive quality first teaching everyday. We aim for all of the children in our care to make outstanding progress whilst they are with us at Oakdene.

If you have any questions about how we can support your child at Oakdene Primary School, you can find lots of information on our website, speak to your child's class teacher, or speak with Mrs Hughes, our school SENCO.  Mrs Hughes can be contacted at school's email address oakdene@sthelens.org.uk or through class dojo.

On September 1st 2014, a revised Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice was introduced. The reforms aim to implement a new approach which seeks to join up help across education, health and care, from birth to 25. Access to this document can be found at:https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/send-code-of-practice-0-to-25

St Helen's Local Authority produce our Local Offer which underpins our SEND policies and practices in school. The Local Offer can be found at https://www.sthelens.gov.uk/send/

Information about how we contribute to and implement the Local Offer at our school can be found in the Information Report below.
