What a fantastic day we have had! All the children looked amazing dressed up as some of the many Roald Dahl book characters. Even the teachers got into the spirit of the day. The children are spending the week writing dreams for The BFG to catch by creating their own dream jar. Look out for some of their fantastic writing on the website later this week. For now enjoy all the pictures from today. A huge thank you to all parents and carers who bought, made and created the wonderful costumes. We are so grateful for all your efforts.

A brilliant effort from all the children in Year Three.

The costumes were gloriumptious in Year Four!

Year 3 visit the synagogue, by Mrs Garton-Pope

Date: 19th May 2016 @ 1:29pm

Today we have visited the Jewish museum in Manchester. It used to be a synagogue but is now a museum for everyone to visit. It was built in 1874 and has lots of beautiful features.

The Rabbi explained lots of different artefacts to us. We then had a pretend Bar Mitzvah ceremony which boys usually have when they turn 13 years old. We didn't have any 13 year old boys with us so used the oldest boy in the class instead!

Well done to all the children who were fantastically behaved and a credit to our school.

A special well done to Annie, Layla, Rosie and Joe. You were brilliant. We can't wait to see you and all the children, who were in the audience, on CBeebies soon.
