Hello parents and carers,

Thank you for all your smartie tube contributions as your children did tasks at home. I am pleased to say that Reception Class won the task as we collected more money than any other class-yay!! Because of this we will be having a fun afternoon soon.

Thanks again.

Love from,

Mrs Heskett and the Reception Team

Hello Parents and carers,

I hope you’ve all managed to stay well over the half term and we’re able to get out for a bit ( in between the rain showers!). Just a reminder that our PE days this half term are Tuesday’s and Friday’s so don’t forget that PE kits are to be worn on those days .

See you all on Tuesday,

love from,

Mrs Heskett and The Reception Team

Hello Parents/Carers,

Hope you are all well. This week we are sending home a sheet with information on how to access the Seesaw app. This is a platform used to upload childrens learning that is done at home during a period of self isolation. You need to download the app then follow instructions on the sheet. If your child has to self isolate they will be sent work home via email.

Thank you.

Love from,

Mrs Heskett and the Reception Team

Hello Parents/Carers,

This year's class have had a very strange start to school but we are pleased to say that they have all settled well.

Routines are a little different this year both in school and between home and school. No home/school books or reading record books  will be allowed home at the moment. We will send a reading book home along with a reading record page for you to make a short comment on. The book can be brought back to school when your child has finished reading it and the page sent in once it is full of comments.

The information sheet from our home/school information book will be sent every week along with the letter sounds we are covering. Keep the letter sheet home for your reference but, if possible, make a short comment on the home/school information sheet and send back to school. We will then stick them in your home/school book and they will be all in one place when we are finally allowed to send things home.

All letters and information sheets sent by us will also be available to view on our website on our Reception class page.

Thank you for your understanding in this difficult time.

Love from

Mrs Heskett and the Reception Team

August 2020

Hello everyone, I hope that you have had a lovely summer holidays? It was lovely meeting some of you and your mums and dads before the summer holidays but I bet you’ve all grown since then! I have been busy getting our classroom ready so we can have lots of fun together. Sorry you weren’t able to come and look around our school last term but we have made a little book and put it on this website, check it out and you will be able to see some areas of our class on there.

I will put a little video message on our page soon so look out for it.

Just for your information the team working in Reception this year is:

Mrs Heskett (Class Teacher)    Miss Clarke ( Learning assistant full time)  Ms Fagan ( Learning support assistant full time)  Mrs Green (HLTA for cover) Mr Hodgkinson (PE coach)

Our PE day is on Friday this term. Due to covid the childrens PE kits are not allowed to be kept in school. We are asking that the children wear their PE kits to school ( with navy tracksuits over the top) on Fridays until further notice. Our first PE session will be on 18th September.

I will let you all know about reading books over the next few weeks.

See you all soon we are looking forward to meeting you ,

Love from,

Mrs Heskett and the Reception Staff
